The American Roots Sessions: Sam Outlaw
We're pleased to bring you the fifth installment of our video series, the American Roots Sessions, with special guest Sam Outlaw.
Sam Outlaw is part of the scene that we like to call "SoCal Country." A South Dakota native who's now living, and plying his trade in Los Angeles, Sam writes music that captures the spirit of some of county's greatest; it's not difficult to hear the influence of George Jones, Willie Nelson, Don Williams and others, and that's not a bad thing at all!
We met up with Sam and his band at his home in Los Angeles and he was kind enough to perform a couple of songs -- "Something That I Gotta Do" and "Cry For Me" -- off his latest self-titled release, as well as a cover of the Don Williams classic "Love Is On A Roll." Watch the videos below!
